Hi Mom!!

This past week was SO good! So many incredible things happened :) Tuesday was probably the best day of my mission thus far! We drove to Central Point and I was so antsy the entire way there.. The butterflies in my stomach wouldn't stop. I'm not sure if it's because I was about to see Trevor or if it was because we were going to the temple. Most likely both! Anyway, missionary Leadership Council is AMAZING! I learned more that day about myself and who I want to become than ever before. President Young started the meeting off by drawing a box with arrows on the white board with the words "Becoming You" in the center. At each of the four corners he wrote, -Thoughts - Actions - Habits -Character. He explained how each of them leads to another and we discussed how all of them make up who we are. We then walked over to the temple. Can I just say that I LOVE  THE TEMPLE!!!! I honestly can't explain to you how grateful I am for the blessings that only the temple has to offer. It brings more peace into my heart than anything else. I had a sweet sweet experience and many tender moments throughout the session. I've never felt the Spirit so strong as I did that day. It was also really neat to see Trevor there in the Celestial roon ;)  It was our first time in the temple together and I couldn't help but smile the whole time. After the session was over, we walked back to the church and went on with the rest of the meeting. I loved every second of it! I was able to talk to Trevor for a minute and it was really really really good to see him! He seems to be doing well. I only wish I could have said more. There were so many questions and things that I wanted so say but it just wouldn't come out... All in all, it was THE BEST DAY EVER!

Another cool thing that happened this week was when we went tracting! We knocked on this door and a women answered. We told her about The Book of Mormon and she said she knew all about it. We asked her how and she said that she is a direct descendant of Brigham Young. She invited us into her home and took us back to her bedroom where showed us her wall that was filled with pictures of her ancestors. Sure enough, a photo of Brigham Young was on the wall. Her great great grandmother was his daughter. Nuts right?! Funny thing though, she isn't a member. In fact she's Catholic and very devout. She told us her whole story about how she came to her faith and it was... interesting. We will definitely be going back! Another neat experience was when we went to Rick and Mary's (Recent Convert) home for dinner the other night. The first thing they asked us was if we had found anybody new to teach that day and we had. He is pretty solid too! They both look a little surprised and we asked them what was going on. They said that they had been praying for us by name that we would find somebody new to teach. Tears arose in all of our eyes. It was such a testimony builder for each of us.

So.. Wasn't General Conference wonderful?!?!?! I loved it so much! A few of the talks really hit home for me and I received answers to some of the questions that I had. I love the leaders of the church so much and am grateful for all that they do for us. I could feel their sincere love for every member as they spoke. I can't say which my favorite was because they each had a part that I liked. What about you? Did you have a favorite?

I wish I could write more but I don't have much time because we are going on an adventure with Rick and Mary in an hour and we still have to get a few things done before then. I hope that all is well at home and that you have a great week!
I LOVE YOU!!!

Love,

Lyndsie :)
